• Account Identifiers: System-generated usernames or dummy email addresses are used for app login purposes only. We do not collect or use your real email address for any purpose.
• Location Data: Real-time and historical location data of school buses and authorized users, strictly for providing live tracking and trip history.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique identifiers for security and support.
• Usage Data: App usage patterns, error logs, and notification preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Providing real-time school bus tracking for parents and school administrators.
• Sending in-app notifications related to trip status, pickup/drop events, or safety alerts.
• Improving app functionality and user experience.
• Ensuring student safety and timely communication.

3. How We Share Your Information

• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• Information may be shared with school administrators and authorized personnel to manage student transport.
• Information may be shared with service providers who help us operate our platform, under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect the safety of students and users.

4. Location Data

Location data is collected only while the app is running for tracking purposes. We do not track user location when the app is closed or after the trip ends.

5. Data Security

We use secure transmission (SSL), encrypted storage, and strict access controls to protect your data. Your data is stored securely on trusted cloud providers (e.g., Google Firebase).

6. Your Choices

• Notifications: You can control notification permissions in your device settings.
• Account Info: You can request to update or delete your account by contacting your school administrator or support.
• Location Access: You may disable location permissions, but core features may not work.

7. Children’s Privacy

SafeTrack does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16. All student data is managed by authorized parents or school personnel.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted in the app and are effective once published.
